Step Outside.
Slow Down.
See Differently.

Guided sessions in planted public spaces across East London, open to individuals and available to book for teams and organisations.

A woman and an older man sitting on a park bench, with a garden path and green bushes in the background. The woman is wearing a colorful patterned top and sitting with her back turned slightly, with a container of colorful pens or markers in front of her on the bench. The man has a bald head with white hair on the sides, and he is writing or drawing in a notepad, with a black basket attached to his bike handlebar nearby.

What to expect

When you book on to a WALK TALK DRAW session you get to step in to a slower pace. To see the world with new eyes. To learn something new. To try something new.

Run in small groups (up to 15 people), these are gently intimate sessions.

We’ll WALK – usually not far, to see a range of plants from different perspectives.

We’ll TALK – as we move between spaces, and in response to plant information shared.

We’ll DRAW – guided by a professional artist.

Taking place outdoors in public parks and gardens, guided by a pair of professionals, you’re invited to…

Close-up of a green leaf with tiny hairs and a textured surface.

Guided through the planting, you’ll marvel at the tiny hairs on a leaf, or observe the squareness of a stem, and learn what that can tell us about a plant. You’ll be led to notice groups of plants that look good together and have that unpacked for you.

All of this will help us to start to see what we’re looking at. To look at what we can see in a different way. Slowing down to turn our attention to texture, colour, or composition.

This looking will help us draw. And drawing will help us see. The more we see, the more we notice. The more we notice, the more we value.

WALK TALK DRAW is a fun exercise in observation and appreciation.

You’ll leave with a mini-sketchbook stuffed with drawings, a few plant insights, and an experience that you can repeat for yourself anytime, anywhere.
